OFF to FLORIDA!!! Bush Cheney 04!!!

This post is dedicated to the dearly departed Beatrice, the fish, who is no longer here with us but is now with Jesus (...?). My sympathies to Kristen, Beatrice's caregiver, and Malcolm, Beatrice's true love. So we had what I believe was a beautiful funeral for Beatrice. A few of us girls dressed all in black and called David and Jeremy to come over to join us in our mourning... It was a special time, guys, let me tell you. On a slightly lighter note, yesterday was even more eventful because it was indeed the day of prayer. It was wonderful. The evening before we had communion together and worshipped around a bonfire. I loved it. And yesterday morning we had chapel that was pretty long and dedicated exclusively to praying together in groups and on our own, which I loved very much. We also did not have any classes all day yesterday. Much of my time was spent in prayer (there were two walmart trips and a funeral inserted into my day as well...) and I loved having a day to forget about stress and classes and to just refocus. OH! And our class praying together last night was incredible! It was an amazing time. So tonight is the play and I canNOT tell you how excited I am. I'm so proud of my most beautiful roomie and adopted roomie who are in it (Julie and Jessica, respectively). We also get to dress nice and it's just going to be wonderful I think. Then tomorrow------we leave for FLORIDA!!!! I'm so excited because I'm in a great group, with Jeremy as our fearless leader...(yikes.), and I'm riding on a bus with a ton of cool kids. Soooo I hate to cut this short, but if I'd been writing this much on my worldview paper, I'd be much closer to being done with it by now...lol. So this is all for now. Hooray for fall and Christ being more than faithful. I'm off!

It's been ten days, people. My bad... So anyway, I'm home this week and I'm loving it! It's been more than amazing to spend time with my family- especially Jes and Eavan. I've also gotten more sleep this week than I think I've gotten since the day I arrived at Bryan. haha! I've also been working on weaning myself off coffee while I'm home. Mom's a great help with that. I've had headaches and things, but I'm getting there. Anyway, right now I'm going crazy because I've lost something important. Isn't that the worst feeling in the world? Anywyay, I miss Bryan and Bryan people greatly, but I think it will be harder to leave home this time than it was back in August, because first of all, I'm going back alone and also because I'm not so distracted and excited with the novelty of school beginning. Does that make any sense? So yea, I'm excited to see everyone at school again and can look forward to Thanksgiving with great anticipation. OH! So who saw the most recent pres. debates? Is Bush your hero yet? Well if not, then he should be. Anyway, I'll add more later. adios

Hurray for fall! And hurray for fall break!!! And one last hurray for getting things accomplished- such as washing my car, which I most definitely did today...woohoo. So yea, I cannot WAIT to come home this weekend and spend a week in Gboro! I can't believe I get to finally see my family again. I don't think I could have waited any longer. It's going to be so wonderful to go back to the people who know me so well and can listen to me talk about everything and know what I should do and how I feel. That's exciting. And it will be nice to have a break from school. Which has become a whirlwind...lol But it's going well. I love SGA the most. We've got a great group of leaders there. I also still love my small group- for whom I cooked a cuban dinner last wednesday. I think everyone enjoyed it. I also enjoyed watching our volleyball team beat Covenant last Friday. How comforting is that? I mean really. It made my weekend decent! lol. And then going to dinner and the mall with what seemed like a million and one Bryan folks rocked on Saturday. We had fun- even the guys did a bit o' shopping. And I've just been so glad lately. I love how the Holy Spirit encourages. I mean, I can get down about how I've messed up, but the more I focus on Christ, the less I focus on my self. And, consequently, I tend to not see my every flaw as much as the grace of God. Even though it would be a mistake to be ignorant and not recognize areas in life that we need to work on- which we can only do with Christ anyway. So there's my thoughts for today. There are oh so many more but I have things to do. So until lata...I'm off!
