Holaaaa. Last night was a blast! I went to Ginna's grad. party where I saw all these people I haven't seen in forever and a day. Awesome. I was especially glad to see Katie. It's been way too long! Anyway, it was good to reconnect and see what God had been doing in those lives. Oh and as a sidenote, someone made some really great fruit tea...was it Carrie or Allison?? Anyway, I had fun and am so excited for and proud of Ginna and all of my fellow graduates for that matter! So after Ginna's party I went to Jessica's. We finally got to our game of Trivial Pursuit. I never played the DVD version before. Pretty darn fun. And Charlie ended up winning again- so Adam tells me... arg The greatest thing ever was those two insulting eachother in espanol. Yea, I need to have a chat with you guys about that... Some of those could have gotten you beaten up pretty easily. lol Yea so I better run. Time for Ashley's grad. party now! woohoo! :) Later.

Hello there. Today it's raining... but it's allright, cuz tonight is Ginna's grad. party! :) I'm excited. Unfortunately, I have to go to the dentist before then. It's cool though. Yea, so last night was Caldwell's graduation. Of course I shed a tear or two. :) It was really cool. Hey, you guys put together a beautiful slideshow! And it was great to see everyone there. So yesterday I also had VBS practice. I cannot wait to see how these skits turn out! Alison never ceases to crack me up lol!<--- think I said that in my last post too...haha Then we had a meeting with the band- instead of practice. Thought of some songs to do and tried to think of a name. Almost there. Wish I didn't have to jet so soon. Apparently some pretty great stuff was worked on after I left. Awesome:) Well, I must be off. I'll see some of you this evening. Adios.
Later--- I just got home from the dentist. It's really a strangely interesting thing to have a numb face. Kind of fun actually. Yeaaa so now I'm home, and I think I'm going to go get ready for Ginna's grad. party then I'll hang at Jessica's later. :) Till we meet again...

Last night was so much fun! Some of mis amigos and I spent some time in the pool and ate some good food and watched Return of the King. A beautiful evening resulted. :) It was a blast. And I think I forgot to compliment the ice cream cake we all enjoyed. My bad- good stuff! Oh we had VBS practice yesterday too. Good to see Alison. Girl u crack me up! I can't wait for VBS. Good times... And Cornerstone! Oh man, how great is that going to be? I'm so so excited! I wish Switchfoot was playing, but hey, you can't really argue with what's already a great lineup! Well I'm keepin' this one short only because I have to go babysit for the evening. Which means I'll probably miss the American Idol finale. But hey it's cool. Fantasia is going to win anyway. Anyone who says otherwise is... not very smart. So until we meet again....

CRAZY WEEKEND! I feel like I haven't been home at all. lol. So as I've already mentioned, on Saturday I had two parties to go to- Megan's and... Megan's. :) All in between running a few errands. Then we did go to my very favorite place to eat- Qdoba. Ok, that was a lie. It's my favorite place in Friendly Center to eat. Then Shrek 2. And since I've already urged you all to go see that, I'm expecting you've done so by now, right? Ok good. Speaking of movies, does anyone know which one comes out on DVD tomorrow??!! Thats right- Return of the King! I can't wait to see it again. I may just have to wake myself up early tomorrow to head to the store and buy it! hmmm. I'm thinking yes. Oh yesterday- Church was wonderful. I love worship. God loves it. So cool. But it was weird for me yesterday because... ok I'm going to be more open here than I usually am, but I was feeling a bit cynical. I was looking around at alot of people I knew or didn't know, and at myself, and I was thinking about how church is so often just a show. Am I at church to worship or to put on a good front? Did I try to get there on time to please others or to honor Christ? Did I sing to make sure others saw that I was doing so or to sing to my Creator? So I had a little bit of an attitude. And it was mostly directed toward myself. I was remembering a lot of what Dr. Osbourne said when he preached last Sunday. I really really appreciated it. He was encouraging the body to be real and honest. There's so much in me people don't know about. I don't want them to know either. But maybe if we shared with each other our struggles in our walk, it would help us grow. I don't know. I've just been thinking a lot lately. And it's making me restless. I just want to do so much but I'm not sure where to start. I want to learn all I can about Scripture, but when I finally wrestle my flesh down to get into it, I can't read enough. :) Anyway, after my interesting contemplative moments during church, I went with Jessica and Jordan to get a card for Ryan. His party was fun. However, I still didn't dare to try one of those pickles that Jessica loves so much though. lol. Someday... Oh and Ashley got her hair cut!!! It's beautiful. I can't believe how short and cute it is. haha. After the party, I went to a VBS meeting. Then I finally got home. :) I watched Pirates of the Carribbean again. Haven't seen that one in a while. Johnny Depp is great. I don't appreciate his politics, but he's a great actor. Speaking of great actors, I've been dying to see A Beautiful Mind again. And check it out, it's going to be on ABC tonight! I'm looking forward to that. Wow, this has been quite a long post. Forgive my senseless rambling. Adios.

You get a multiple choice question. I am currently feeling:
A.) excited
B.) overjoyed
C.) happy
D.) all of the above
And if you guessed anything other than "D," you're just... not very smart. 'Cause I've graduated!!!!!! It feels just wonderful. I didn't think I'd feel any different, but I do. I'm free. That's one way to describe it. Ok so yesterday- we got our caps and gowns on in Mrs. Gilmer's room and said a prayer. That's when I started to cry. I felt silly lol! But the tears flowed. Then I was ok as we watched our friends and family walk in the building. Jen, Ginna, Jessica, Adam, Alison, and Jordan and the Whitakers all came! It was amazing. I'm so thankful for having been at that small Christian school. The Word of God is appreciated and reverred there. So the graduation ceremony was pretty special. Jessica shed a tear or two. (I'm hearing a collective "awwww") and I stayed for awhile and talked to everyone and cried some more and took pictures and talked some more etc. Then- PARTY! How awesome was that? My parents really threw a perfect bash for me. :) And our (still nameless) band was great. And do I really need to say anything about Mom's cuban food? Decadent. I think that's how Charlie described it. :) So today I had Megan and Megan's grad. parties. Both were awesome. :) Then some of us went to Qdoba then to see Shrek 2... which ROCKED! Oh it was so darn funny. Better than the first. I can't give anything away though. Just go see it! ;) It's worth it. Maybe tomorrow I'll write a little more detailed description of graduation. Sooo for now I'm off with my diploma on my desk and a smile on my face. Bye!

WOOHOO! Done with school I'm done with school. Can you tell how terribly excited I am? Well I had such a fabulous day. Everyone was getting yearbooks signed and saying goodbye. It was nice. I finished all I had to do then Olivia and I went to Jersey Mikes (a joyous event in itself) and then I headed home. Then I cleaned a bit. Now I'm probably going to go get ready for Maegan's get together tonight. Whew it's dark outside. "Tut tut it looks like rain" - That's one of those random quotes that just pops into my head every now and then, something from Winnie the Pooh- when he's trying to disguise himself as a rain cloud so he can steal honey from the beehive. Yea. Hmm anyway... I'm pretty much wasting time now and I'm too excited about too many things to say anything that makes any sense. I mean tomorrow is the big day and our band is playing after and we're going to have some most excellent Cuban food and man my mom rocks for doing all of that btw. lol. Aaaaand I get to see all mis amigos at graduation. Very cool. So I'll stop rambling because that's definitely what I'm doing. I wonder if anyone has ever wasted this much time and space on a blog. Ohhhh well. See ya.

Ok noone can say anything anymore- we've found the WMD's in Iraq. Not that the argument that we hadn't found them yet wasn't absurd- I mean, c'mon, Sadaam only used them to gas his own people years ago. But now that we have physically discovered Sarin, I am not sure there is a liberal who can spin this one... Let's hear what Alan Colmes (one of the few relatively cool liberals, I must say) has to say to this one. What now?! lol. So how about this- the only other big news today is about Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin's new baby girl... named Apple. How about that for publicity?? I mean really. Chris Martin makes great music, Gwyneth makes (some) great movies, but give me a break. lol That's just silly. Hey we got our yearbooks today! They're beautiful. Let's hear it for our yearbook staff! :) *so proud* Man this is our last week guys; let's make it great!! Au revoir.

Beautiful day! Well the weather wasn't so great, but yea... Church was awesome. I was so glad Mr. Osbourne preached; a lot of what he said really made me think. After church there was a graduation luncheon to attend. It was wonderful! It was great to have the church leaders there to encourage us and build us up. I really appreciated that. So then we all came home and got ready for Bacalaurreate. Which was awesome. Lots of tears but all happy ones. ;) And I will never forget the letter my mom read to me in front of everyone. That was entirely beautiful- just perfect. Everyone else's parents did a great job (making me cry) too! :) Then as if we weren't emotional enough, we sang our song to the juniors. But hey, you gotta give me credit. I never exactly wept or anything like I thought I might. haha Sooo ok, we're on our way. A couple more tests, an exam or two, then graduation on Friday! It's weird because it seemed more of a looming reality two weeks ago than it does now. In the future, I'd like to remember my last few days of highschool, but it seems to be just flying by. I better try to enjoy it while I can. Aloha.

I'm going to make this short because for some reason today I'm beat. Plus- I'm wanting to go spend the evening studying. Why? Because I've been thinking I need to be meditating on Scripture more. It can only be healthy for the Holy Spirit in me to starve the flesh. Nice. So I just played war with Eavan- the card game. Aaaand I lost. sigh. Hey it's cool. But I'm off to help Jes with his book report, then spend the evening in mi cuarto. Cya.
Thursday, May 13, 2004
Wow! A gorgeous day. I spent almost an hour by the pool with Eavan and Mom; I was too sleepy to enjoy it for any longer though. haha So I think today was our last chapel at SLA. We may have another next week, but that's up in the air. Rhoden spoke today and it was cool just because I've been into studying the Word, not just doing reading it, etc., so I enjoyed chapel immensely. There's a big difference between just reading scripture, truly studying it, and learning the history behind the text, etc. Like the discussion we had in Bible class this morning about babies and children and what happens to them when they die. I love exploring and going through chapter by chapter, so awesome. I really want to understand all I can and learn all I can from Scripture. Muy importante. So I have to run. I think mom just made us a milkshake. See ya.
Ok check this out- I found a great John MacArthur sermon on where babies go when they die. I'm taking the time to read it, but I wish it wasn't so long cuz then I'd bring it to class tomorrow. lol. O well... http://www.biblebb.com/files/MAC/80-242.htm <---This is only part one. Part two can be found on the same site.

:) Gotta smile, I'm so happy! It's been a beautiful week so far. And the sports/ music banquet last night was a blast for the most part. It was however, pretty emotionally charged. lol. It's the first of the last events to close the year for us. And I couldn't be more excited. Tomorrow is even our practice for the Bacalaureate service Sunday...!! So now there is only a week and one day until graduation. Ok, since I've talked about that enough, how about a little on our golf tournament yesterday? It was fun. Lindsey even made a hole in one. :) Now that was incredible to see. Only drawback? It was excessively hot! But it was wonderful regardless. I'm really into the game now. Who would have thought? :) So I'm off to babysit. :) :)
Monday, May 10, 2004
Sigh. A beautiful day today! And I spent it by the pool doing a little Scripture study. Very awesome. I was listening to a bit of Switchfoot after a while too. Always good. So there's how many days left till graduation? Oh, I'm thinking.... ELEVEN! What a relief. All we have left are a few tests then a couple exams, and we're through. :) Hey did I forget to mention lately I was accepted to Bryan?? I'm excited. Maybe I'll go there, maybe I'll go to UNCG. I'd say it's all up in the air, but it isn't. It's in God's hands. For real. I'm just praying I know what to do soon, because I want to have a decision and be ready to prepare for next year. Either way, I'm excited. :) So now I must go. Until we meet again...
Wait why am I literally skipping around the house? Hmmm. Think it's called the joy of the Lord :) cya!

Ok I'm finally doing this. lol Friday rocked. I had no idea the Borg would be worth the almost-hour-long wait. But it was!! Glad we did it, Winterjoy! :) And we rode every other coaster there too- cept for the Goldrusher and the smaller kid ones. Wow, now that it's been so long I really don't remember much to say about the trip, ecept that Winterjoy and I had the coolest time. And I don't know if I could have done Drop Zone without her. I'll never forget sitting at the top. lol So today is Mother's Day and I actually made lunch. I love to cook. And in a few hours we're having dessert at Ganache with the youth group. :) Oh by the way, I watched the greatest movie last night with Mom. It's my new favorite- The Importance of Being Earnest. It's just perfect. I'm finding that I love British flicks so much more than American ones. lol Go figure. Well I'm out.

*i'll have a full account of today tomorrow. :) all i have to say for now is that that new ride is the greatest.*
Thursday, May 06, 2004
Tuesday night was WONDERFUL! We sounded awesome you guys! :) I am so proud... haha And we sang Go Light Your World, which is officially my favorite song we've done all year. It's grrreat. And I'm SO looking forward to tomorrow... CAROWINDS. nope. not excited at all. Ok so I can't wait to check out that new ride....the uh... Borg. lol and I can't wait to hang with Winterjoy, and maybe Olivia. Hope you can go Liv! Today was so cool. It was weird because it kind of felt like the beginning of the end of the year. Anyway, I was around school most of the time, tying carnations with the Juniors and stuff. Then I came home and did some work round here. Man I've got this perpetual headache. It's not so bad, I'm just going to bed now. See some of you bright and early tomorrow morning! Much love.

Of course it would rain when I planned to do golf with Alison. sigh. Well it's ok, we just had fun on the swings, chatting. Later that evening I finally saw Master and Commander. Brilliant movie. I loved it. I don't care what you say, Lauren! ;) Brrrr it got cold today. It's no wonder with all this rain. I hope it isn't like this on Friday! Although I hope it doesn't get too hot by then either cuz we're going to Carowinds! At least I am. With the school. Once again, I'm the only one from my class who's going. Hey, it's cool! I plan on hanging with Winterjoy all day. Woohoo! So I finished all but a few of my graduation invitations. I'm so excited. Can May get any slower? I mean really. lol I'm really hoping I get to go to Bryan. I'd absolutely LOVE to be roommates with Julie, too. That'd be just fantastic. Well we'll see what God has for me. If it's that or UNCG, It'll be a wonderful year I think. :) SO tomorrow's our Spring Concert thang. I'm a little nervous actually. But I think we'll do fine. You guys just wait till you hear our song for Bacalaurate. It's awesome. Even Shawn will be singing- or at least lip synching. It's all good. :) (Hope I spelled Bacalaurate right...) Oh well. Till we meet again...

Our banquet was just lovely, you guys. I had a wonderful time. Unfortunately, it ran so late that I didn't go see Cool Hand Luke. I was so looking forward to that but hey it's cool. Mom and I did a movie and had a great time anyway. :) Yesterday I went shopping, and I got my pictures from DC developed. Very cool. Oh! I watched a couple great movies last night- Love Story and Emma. I love both. The former is very much like a Walk to Remember. And the latter is based on one of my favorite books. Love it. :) So this morning our ensemble sang at Mr. Thurman's church. I think we did pretty well. :) And Jes is sick today. :( You guys need to pray for him. Poor guy. Weeell I'm off to the driving range with my girl Alison. Adios.
