Another rainy day. But isn't that what makes spring spring?:) I can't wait for the sun and perpetual heat! woohoo! So anyone else really upset over this attack on Condoleeza Rice? I mean, I know I've already mentioned how cool I really think she is, but I am so ready to see her tear up her accusers. Go ahead and make her go under oath! Why not?? I think that will be the most triumphant moment for Dr. Rice. When the truth comes out and accusations are refuted. Anyway, now that I've gotten that out... So I've been trying to prioritze the things I need to accomplish. I even got a calendar printed out with the things I need to get done in the next few weeks. I mean, with spring break, our senior trip, the banquet, etc., April's going to be crazy. And awesome. :) So it's nice to get organized now. Oh, needless to say, there was no golf at BelAire today. Hopefully Thursday. Unfortunately, that also happens to be April Fool's Day. lol I mean, I for one don't need a day set apart giving other people license to humiliate me. I do just fine with that on my own. lol Anyway, I'm lying low this year. After that whole Christmas tree thing, no more false accusations please! ;) hahahaha So I'm off. Tomorrow is our girls' Bible study early in the AM! I do love it, the talks we have, and seeing you girls during the day too! You all rock! So till tomorrow...
PS- anyone ever heard William F. Buckley speak? The man's grammar and vocabulary are impeccable! I'd love to be able to use that many obscure words in one sentence. lol He rocks...

Another gorgeous day :) God is so good! Only He could orchestrate beauty like this. That makes me think of the words to my favorite Earthsuit song- check it out. So yes, I was able to be out a lot of the day, definitely a treat. After I came home from school and did a little more socialism research, I went to the Dr., ran some errands, then came home. Now mom is making a wonderful dinner, and I'm getting ready to head outside for some trampoline time with Eavan. Tomorrow most of us on the golf team are going to play at BelAire. I'm excited! Oh! Something else I'm excited about- anyone who has not seen the newest Switchfoot video must do so immediately. That's an order. Amazing stuff! here it is You're welcome! ;)

Today is the one week anniversary of my blog! :) Isn't that exciting? Probably not so much. haha So today was great. Our ensemble did a fantastic job this morning considering the fact that half of us were sick. Guys- it was brilliant. Megan- thanks for the honey lemon tea! You rock! So I came home, ate, then worked on that socialism paper some more. I can't seem to do enough reading on it. :) haha Oh and the Rockbridge people got home so I talked to Katherine and Charlie bout that. Glad you guys had a blast! :) So I went to Mexico (restaurant, not country) for dinner con mis amigas. SO glad you came, Ginna! Then Ginna and I had some coffee at Cool Beans. Good stuff. I'm excited about this week. Let me tell ya. Last week before Spring Break (poolside days!), which is followed by our senior trip. Watch out, DC! :) Then only a few weeks till graduation. It's mind blowing, but I'm ecstatic. Later.

Good evening! So what are you fine people up to this evening? I am watching the greatest movie at the moment- Fools Rush In. I love it. lol Ok, so maybe it's not the greatest movie. Honestly, I think that title belongs to one of two flicks- About a Boy or Sense and Sensibility. I love them both and have seen them each probably over 20 times. I know I've seen Sense and Sensibility more than 50. No kidding. haha I'm sure some of you are probably wondering why I didn't name any of the Lord of the Rings trilogy as the greatest. Well, I suppose it's because my favorite movies are the ones I can watch over and over again and never tire of. The Lord of the Rings is an amazing trilogy to read, definitely my favorite, but the movies are oh so long and overwhelming (in a good way for sure), that you have to really sit down and decide to dive into it. And of course my favorite genres, generally speaking are (preferably British) comedy, and of course romance. So there's the philosophy behind my "greatest movie" choices. Anyway, tomorrow morning heralds the big SLA ensemble performance we have been preparing for. We'll be singing at Mrs. Gilmer's church- a 40 min. program! We've been working so hard, I know we'll do a great job. :) Later in the evening, it's off to Mexico. No, not the country, the restaurant... Yes, that'll be very wonderful. I hope all you kids up at Rockbridge are having a blast! See ya soon...

What a day! I have been out all day. Here it is: I was at school, went to Jersey Mike's, went back to school to bring Winterjoy somethin', then worked on research paper stuff with the lovely Maegan. :) Then I stopped by Lifeway and Family Bookstore, and soon it was time to be off for golf. I think I was definitely having an off day as far as golf is concerned. Still fun though, of course! So after golf I picked Katie up from Caldwell, and we got Jen D and got something to eat. Then we went to Katie's student/staff game. You rocked, girli! Catherine, you too, mi amiga! And it was so awesome to see everyone there, especially Ginna! It has been way too long! Glad we're getting together again soon! And you really have a beautiful Xanga site! Your latest entry was so encouraging! You have a great heart for the Lord. Stay strong. :) Anyway, that's today in a nutshell. Now I'm watching a great chick flick with mom. I love Friday nights like this. :) Tomorrow is Jes' soccer game. Victory? Hopin for it!

What a day! We finished up those SAT tests at school (finally!), then we all headed to Mrs. Gilmer's church to practice for our performance there Sunday morning! That should be very awesome. Unfortunately, that means I won't be going on the Rockbridge trip with all you wonderful CCC middleschoolers! Wish I could, but there will be more trips for me to attend with you guys! ;) So after a long and successful practice we ate lunch (at Sonic!) and then rode back to school, all the while listening to (and who knew I could rap to-) Earthsuit, among a plethera of other quality bands (Switchfoot, OC Supertones...). I'm sure all of you in the car with me were a little disturbed, but don't be down on my music, ok? :) Soon it was time for golf. Of course very fun. Then time to get home. I went to the store, then watched the Apprentice a little while ago. Great show! Even better than American Idol! hahaha... Now I'm about to navigate those stairs right up to bed! Tomorrow it's school, golf, hangin' with my girl Katie, then checkin' out her student/ faculty basketball game at Caldwell for the evening. Bless u all.

Let's hear it for my laser tag team! Yea! We rocked. Won both games. That's right! OK, enough of that. It was insanely fun though. I'm thinking I need to go again ASAP. Anyone up for it? I'm also thinking I'm a little better at laser tag than I am at that stupid online pool game which I can't seem to master. I'm sure "my conscience" thinks so as well... So now I get to go babysit Sara and Maddie. :) Those two are so sweet. And adorable! Well I must take my leave for now. I'll be back later to add more about my lovely day...
Back from babysitting. :) Ok, so after laser tag I went to Pier 1 to get Ashley her birthday gift. Choosing a gift for someone is probably one of my favorite pastimes. haha So then I headed to Ganache where a few of us girls had a great time eating dessert and drinking coffee and chatting. And Ashley ended up loving her gift. Mission accomplished. ;) Oh yes, about that Richard Clarke dude (still a jerk!)- I'm thinking he should have thought about the backlash he'd receive before he opened his big mouth. The guy's been blasted by the White House from every direction (more power to 'em); and it's not over! He's giving a false story of what went on behind closed doors during 9/11 and the War on Terror. His problem is that there are a crazy amount of people willing to disprove his accusations! Including the most excellent Condoleeza Rice. She rocks. Yea. Ok, so I did have an awesome day! And I love my friends. God has definitely blessed me!
(Bush in '04!) ;)

No golf today??? :( And I was so looking forward to it... I'll just have to go on my own sometime to make up for it. lol. No worries. So tomorrow all of us well behaved children at school get to go play laser tag... I haven't really ever been. Well, ok, once in FL back in 7th grade. It therefore promises to be quite an adventure. Bring it!! You know what I hate? This isn't the first time this has happened to me either, but here it is... I started humming a tune, adding lyrics, and it turned into a song in my head. Decent stuff, I suppose, until I got distracted, and now I can't remember a word of it for the life of me... Oh well. Maybe it will return...Someday... I'm enjoying... these continuous....dots....It's pretty...fun... I could go on...forever... Yea, so I'm finished with that. I'm watching Cast Away at the moment. A pretty awesome flick. Most people hate it, I guess because there's very little dialogue. But the acting is incredible, and Tom Hanks is the man. He's got to be, to be so convincing in that role, with so little to say. There's a lot you pick up on- his emotions, etc., even when he's not speaking at all. That's pretty cool. So I'll quit rambling about that now. lol. In closing, I just need to get this out there and I'm through saying anything about it- guys should not go to tanning beds. Ever. Now I feel better. :)

"'Smile! Jesus Loves You!' Missiles. These would be a lot of fun to toss around!" <-- I found this description of a toy in the Oriental Trading Company catalog. Could be quite useful ammo in Iraq? jk How bizzarre. Though it did give me quite a good laugh. ;) They do seem harmless enough though... Anyway, today was rather uneventful. I would like to say, however, that Richard Clarke is a jerk... The guy wrote a book dissing Bush. I mean, if he had problems with the administration and its War on Terror, why not raise them, I dunno, two years ago before he left?? Anyway, Cheney rocks for defending the administration the way he did on Rush today. I still haven't read the transcript. I should go do that. Unfortunately, this is a short message. But maybe if you're all lucky, I'll say more lata. ;)
For now I'll leave you with this...

Today- a very awesome day. I'll break it down. This morning I had the church stuff. John Kimmons preached a most amazing sermon on how the way we live our lives is a testimony to everyone who sees us. It's the best way to witness- with our actions. Worship was also very cool. So after the service a few of us got food and ate at BurMil park. So fun, despite the frigid breeze. And if only I'd been wearing pants and not a skirt, I could have enjoyed the swings also. :( But it's cool. I practiced my putting, then watched Steve and Charlie (attempt to) play a few holes. haha just kidding... So I came home and Mom and Eavan arrived from Charlotte as I was getting ready to head out for practice. Twinkles won third place! Yea! Now comes Baltimore in a couple weeks. woohoo! So I went to church, sang, did da skit (I'm a wonderfully legalistic daughter...and the rest of my family- hahaha, so fun.), etc. Part of that etc. though- really amazed me- a girl named Erin who was ten shared about her experience with cancer. Incredible. Jesus shone right through her. I could see in her face how in love she was with Him. And He knew I needed to hear her story tonight. How encouraging and inspiring. I want her passion for prayer! Wow. You all need to be praying for her too, she's still going through a lot with all of that. So that put me in an especially worshipful mood as we did music too. God is so good! Man singing tonight was so much fun. I'll never be on American Idol (and I'm thinking that's a good thing...), but I enjoy the music and praising God that way. So cool. Ok, after the praise and prayer dinner, small group. And Jen shows up! Hooray! We better get together ASAP, girl! And the little I heard of your drums skills rocks. ;) So I better go to sleep soon. Those lovely SAT tests are tomorrow methinks. haha. Cool. Talk to you soon!

A beautiful day. Unfortunately no golf this time, but I did go to Jes' soccer game. He did sooo well. Was very awesome on defense! :) His team did lose however, despite being ahead the entire game until the last quarter. :( But I'm still oh so proud. I'm also waiting to hear from mom and Eavan, to hear how she did this morning in Charlotte. I'm sure the Twinks were great. Can't wait to hear all about it! So after Jes' soccer game this morning we had lunch and went to launch these two rockets he built with dad. I never believed those things could have reached 750 ft. as the box claimed, but we were surprised, and the rocket was unquestionably gone. Like Elvis and his mom. But the second one didn't even get up at all. So we headed home, did some cleaning, and Jes decided to don the swimsuit and jump in the newly opened pool. Why? Maybe for the thrill of plunging into icy, frigid water. I only hope he didn't get hypothermia or something. Probably did. lol. So now I'm off to a cookout with a few of mis amigos tonight at. Can't wait for the morrow- time to worship, not that it isn't always time to worship. Really. Our lives in general should be worship to God. That's a cool thought. Pretty motivating too. And, oh yea, I'm choosing to ignore the latest comment I see below. haha. I'm so sure I'll quote you in my socialism paper, Charlie. Yea... Is that what Michael Moore has done to you? How sad.

Countdown to golf practice as I do research in the computer lab. Only and hour and a half till I'm out in this beautiful weather perfecting that swing. Man, I'm glad it's Friday! I anticipate a wonderful weekend. And a victory for Eavan's team as well! ;) Go Twinkles!! haha Yea, they're sure to win. I just really really wish I could be there to see it happen. Well, soon it'll be time for the big competition in Baltimore, which, you guessed it, we will also win! Ok, so let me know how much this blog rocks you guys, ok? And I'm not being vain, cuz my insanely talented mom did it all! Love you somuch mom! So compliments are most definitely welcome and encouraged. haha Time to work some more. Anyone have some random information for me on how socialism is affecting our economy? Ok, then I'll keep lookin on freerepublic, etc. adios...

My first post. I'm already enjoying it. :) I usually type my thoughts out in Word on a regular basis, but this blogging thing promises to be even better. My title comes from something Jon Foreman said while he was explaining the meaning behind one of my favorite Switchfoot songs, The Beautiful Letdown.
Well, my day was a great one. Except for the weather. Which is terrible, not only because "the day is cold and dark and dreary, it rains and the wind is never weary," but because that means golf practice was cancelled. I really enjoy golf. And we all know I need it the practice. :) But yea, it really is fun. Anyway, today the SLA ensemble performed during chapel. It was our first time since learning ten or so new songs and I have reason to believe we.... rocked! Well, it was a blast anyway. So that's most of my day. So far. :)
